A downloadable game for Windows

This is the first prototype of a game I have been working on for about 2 months. This is very much a prototype, designed to help me figure out if the core idea for the game loop - where you kill monsters and harvest resources to build defenses from even more monsters - is fun and engaging.

All art and sound is placeholder. Gameplay is work in progress. You will definitely find bugs with this game.

If you try this game, please send me feedback. Good or bad, I want to hear it. I need to know if this is worth continuing to work on.

If you are able to give me feedback, any of the following methods would be really useful:

  • The most useful way would be to record yourself playing the game for the first time, so I can see how you interact with it. It doesn't have to be high quality, but if I can see the screen and hear you respond to things, that would be ideal.
  • I've created a questionaire you can fill in:
  • Send me an email with your thoughs at pixelspawn101@gmail.com
  • Have a call with me, if you're able, to talk through your experience
  • Leave a comment here on Itch.Io or on YouTube

If you're interested in seeing this game progress, you can follow my dev diary on Youtube.

How to Install

Very simply, just download the zip file in the download link, and extract the package to somewhere convenient. Inside the extracted folder is a file called PlayMe.exe. Double click on that to launch the game.

This game can be played with either gamepad or keyboard and mouse, but its been designed primarily for gamepad.

For now this game is Windows only.
